Each year, many staff arrive at Antarctic stations to carry out their work all with their own specific role and reason to be there - Everyone must undergo survival training in the slight chance that they get caught out in blizzard conditions.
There are a number of methods of 'overnight camping' possible - Here we see a typical 'Polar Pyramid' being used as a 'toilet tent' - How do I know that? Well firstly, I was there but secondly there is a black box on the floor outside which is how we transport our 'waste products' back to station for processing.
Oh and there was a rather nice 'pink aurora' too...
